About this module
EASA Part 66 Module 1 tests the mathematics an aircraft maintenance engineer actually uses on the job: fractions, ratios and percentages for weight-and-balance work, algebraic rearrangement of formulas, powers and roots, areas and volumes, and the basics of graphs and trigonometry. Calculators are not permitted in the official exam, so quick, reliable mental arithmetic is exactly what the questions are designed to check.
Module 1 is required for every licence category (A, B1 and B2), and because Modules 2, 3 and 8 all build on it, most candidates sit it first.
