About this module
EASA Part 66 Module 8 explains why aircraft fly: the ISA atmosphere, lift and drag, boundary layers and stall, high-lift devices, the flight controls and their aerodynamic effects, plus stability, Dutch roll and Mach effects. It is a compact module, but its ideas return constantly in Modules 11, 12 and 13, so a solid pass here pays off later.
Exam questions favour cause-and-effect reasoning — what happens to stall speed in a 60° bank, why a swept wing pitches up at the stall, which surface controls which axis. Every question in our bank pairs the correct answer with a one-line aerodynamic explanation, which is exactly the level the multiple-choice exam works at.
