About this module

EASA Part 66 Module 5 is the digital backbone of the licence: number systems and conversions (binary, octal, hex, BCD), logic gates and flip-flops, computer architecture, ARINC 429/629 data buses, fibre optics, EFIS/ECAM/EICAS displays, ESD precautions and software-control rules. For B2 candidates it is examined in depth; B1 candidates meet a lighter version of the same syllabus.

Questions tend to be very learnable: convert 11010111 to decimal, name the gate from a truth table, state the ARINC 429 word length, or recall which display shows a resolution advisory. Repetition against a large bank is the proven approach, and each of our questions explains the conversion or the rule so the pattern sticks.
